Avasam v2.1.1 April release - What's inside?
The Avasam v2.1.1 update adds new features, and enhances existing functionality
New sales channel integration: BigCommerce
As one of the world’s biggest eCommerce website builders, we just had to offer a way for our users to be able to source inventory for their BigCommerce stores, and as of today, our BigCommerce integration is now live. The functionality that we have made available from today includes:
- Stock level updates - your customers will always see current stock availability
- Order processing - once your products are mapped, your order details, payments and shipping instructions will flow automatically to your supplier, and your dispatch confirmation back to your customer
- Automated product listing tool - so you can list products in just a few clicks and get going with BigCommerce right away
As part of this partnership, we’re offering an exclusive free trial for BigCommerce when you sign up to build your new website using our link.
Automated product listing tool: BigCommerce
This new functionality means that BigCommerce users can now enjoy the same features that Shopify users do with Avasam. This includes:
- Product sourcing - find additional products for your store via our catalogue
- Automated product listing - publish the titles, descriptions and images for those products in your BigCommerce store in just a few clicks
- Bulk product listing - don’t just list individual products, push batches of up to 100 products each time!
- Listing manager - manage all your product listings in one place
With the BigCommerce integration and the product listing tool, DropShipping with BigCommerce has never been more accessible and manageable. If you’ve never used BigCommerce, and you’re tempted to trial it, you can sign up directly from within your Avasam account, which (for a limited time) will get you a free trial on BigCommerce.
Automated product listing tool: WooCommerce
With a little under a third of all eCommerce websites using WooCommerce, we’ve been working to enhance our functionality and today’s update includes an automated listing tool for WooCommerce sellers. The functionality available is the same for our Shopify and BigCommerce sellers, so all the points we made above about the BigCommerce product listing tool also now apply to WooCommerce.
Avasam v2.1 release - What's inside?
The Avasam v2.1 update adds new features, and enhances existing functionality
New feature: OnBuy mapping tool
We’ve talked about the benefits of listing products on OnBuy before, and with so many more customers flocking to the UK’s fastest growing marketplace, we’re keen to help our sellers to make sales there too.
The functionality we’ve added to our OnBuy integration in this update will enable users to search and map products from Avasam on OnBuy. This tool works for products that already exist in the OnBuy catalogue, rather than for creating new products on OnBuy.
You’ll be able to use the listing manager, and search the OnBuy catalogue using product barcodes, OPCs, keywords or product titles. When you’ve added products, you’ll also be able to see shipping costs, set prices, and delete products from OnBuy.
New feature: Linnworks users
Bulk source via export file – you’ll be able to source in Avasam using My Inventory, and then export as you have been doing, but from this update you’ll also be able to bulk source and export products.
You’ll also be able to export automatically if you’re sourcing through the Avasam catalogue. You’ll be able to select in the channel integration whether you want to be able to export automatically, and once you’ve set this to yes, every time you click to source a product, that product will be exported to Linnworks.
If you’ve added the new Avasam channel integration for Linnworks (launched on the Linnworks App Store on March 8th), when searching for, and sourcing from the Avasam catalogue, products that you source will automatically be added to your Linnworks inventory.
We’ve also built other functionality for Linnworks that will help us to help you, but you won’t be able to see this day to day – we’re only mentioning it so you’re aware that there is more to this update than meets the eye.
Minor fixes
As most other companies do when they update their system, we’ve made some smaller fixes and improvements as part of this update, and many of them you probably won’t notice – but they’ll contribute to the smooth running of the platform. These are things that are seemingly insignificant, but make using the platform that bit better, including:
- Videos on the homepage no longer auto playing (we listened to your feedback and we agreed that autoplay isn’t the best)
- Making it clearer which of the blogs are being displayed on the home page and being able to select others more easily
- Making new email notifications available to aid suppliers with order management and dispatch notifications
There is far more than just these three, but since many are only noticeable at the back end we haven't gone into detail.
Avasam v2.0 release - What's inside?
This update release for Avasam contains a number of important changes to make it easier to use.
With the most recent update, Avasam continues to grow and develop to make it more powerful and easier to use.
We'll break down the major changes here, and link to the documentation for them.
Shopify listing tool
With the release of our first listing functionality you can now list products directly to your Shopify store from the inventory screen with only a couple of clicks, and update them from within Avasam.
Listing manager
Our new listing manager provides access to information, tools and logs for your integrated marketplaces and websites. If you need to change prices, descriptions and other information, then all the tools you need are in one place.
New home page
Each time you login to Avasam, you will land on our new homepage where you will find important information, such as announcements about product promotions, supplier updates, new features, or new products.
You will also see display cards showing preset product search filters linked to our catalogue, as well as all of our latest help videos.
SKU mapping improvements
We've made some big changes to SKU mapping, so it's easier and quicker than ever to find and link your listings on your selling channels (such as eBay or Shopify) to their corresponding products in your inventory .
Improved product search
With our updated filtering and search functionality, it's even easier to find what you want in our catalogue, or your inventory. Free text search, easier access to filtering and sorting makes it easier than ever to find the right products.
Variation product display
Avasam will now group together variation products, such as clothing, so that you can quickly add all related products in all colours and sizes to your inventory.
Multi-select products and bulk sourcing
When sourcing products, you can now select and source multiple products at once from within the catalogue, speeding up your ability to get started without needing to use CSV files.
Shipping - Improved support for dynamic pricing
Suppliers can now offer pricing for shipping based on order value or weight, so they can make shipping more attractive for cheaper or lighter products. This will be shown when you look at products in the catalogue or inventory, and are fully supported by the pricing rules functionality.
Orders, refunds and cancellations
Suppliers will now provide the reason why they need to cancel an order, while they can also now offer partial refunds if there is an issue with an order that doesn't require a full cancellation and return, helping you to maintain your relationship with your customers.
Support ticket improvements
The updated support ticket system now makes it much clearer to see where there have been updates to your tickets, what the status of the enquiry is, and so on.
We have also made improvements to the supplier side of the ticket system to make it clearer what tickets require actioning and which are overdue.
eBay Global Shipping Programme
eBay's global shipping program lets you send products across the world, while only covering shipping within the UK - the rest is paid by the customer.
This is now supported transparently by Avasam - no configuration needed once you add it to your listing, the supplier will send the order to the eBay processing centre.
More questions?
As always, if you have further questions, we'd be happy to help you. Contact us via Livechat, at the bottom right hand corner of Avasam, use the support ticket system, or email us on [email protected].
